Vibe Check Skateboards
Vibe Check is an inclusive contemporary skate brand, celebrating skate culture and inspired by self-expression and positivity. Bright psychedelic colours, playful illustrative elements and loose abstract typography make up the visual aesthetic. I created a logo, a brand illustration and merchandise designs to showcase the brand identity.
Logo
I created a custom hand-drawn typeface inspired by abstract loose-form lettering. I wanted the typeface to be have a carefree and slightly imperfect edge to it, to emulate the laid-back quirky personality of the brand.

The versatile logo can be applied as a horizontal wordmark, a monogram and scaled up to create a brand pattern.
Skateboard Deck designs
To further explore the versatility of the brand illustration, I applied the scaled up logo and the illustrative floral elements to skate decks. The result is vibrant, eye-catching and distinctive.
Can design
In order to further develop a more in-depth identity, I created an illustration that captures the essence of the brand's personality. I wanted the illustration to be visually impactful at both small and large scales and to include recognisable elements that can be used across different designs, such as clothing and marketing collateral.
