Spirit of the Woods Whiskey
Spirit of the Woods is a rustic whiskey brand that prides itself on organic ingredients and a wholesome ethos. I wanted to create a visual identity that effortlessly communicates a sense of pride, heritage and connection to nature.
Logo & logomark
A rabbit and fern to evokes a sense of nature and a sun and star to represent the cycle of day and night. These elements are brought together in a harmonious way to subtly represent the essence and purity of the english woodland.
My stylised illustrations combined with the relaxed typeface creates a rustic feel. I used muted earthy colours and mottled texture that evoke a combined sense of heritage and nature. Furthermore, 'Spirit' is a play on words that suggests the whiskey embodies the soul of the forest.

I continued the nature theme using hand-drawn elements and tied them together in a grid pattern.
Packaging & bottle design
This pattern works seamlessly with the logo and logomark, resulting in a unique and elegant packaging design that will stand out on shelves against competing spirits.
Recipe Cards
The illustrations are displayed on printed cocktail recipe cards. Each card shows a different theme in relation to the brand pattern. The result is an aesthetically pleasing continuation of the brand's visual identity.
